Dear Committee,

         I hope that you, your family and your feathered family are all doing fine. I have recently received the club's newsletter stating that the AGM will be held on the 7th of February. Unfortunately i will not be able to attend said event due to the fact that i will be abroad nevertheless i have a couple of comments i would like to pass on to the committee hopefully you will be able to do so on my behalf.

       

Mainly i would like to thank everyone for the warm and hospitable welcome i have been given over the past year,were unlike other bird associations i was kept informed on the on goings of the club through a very detailed, regular, and colorful newsletter. I would also like to express my gratitude to the entire committee for the book launch event were not only as newbie to the breed i had the opportunity to meet some of the hobbies greats but also the chance to be one of the fist to purchase the book which has tuned out to be an invaluable source of information.

         

I would also like to express a big thank you and an exceptional well done with regards to this yeas show. Although Im new to the breed i have exhibited or attended various other bird shows along the yeas and i must say that the level of professionalism, organization and clarity with which prizes were awarded was exceptional Im already anxiously looking forward to this years event were hopefully i will be able to take part in a more professional manner.

       

I would also like to extend the deepest gratitude to two members in particular who have taken time from their busy schedule and came over to inspect my bird room and my stock and also warmly invited me into theirs there help and opinion have given me the opportunity to start of in the best possible manner these members are Mr Mario Zahra and Mr Joseph Sawyer.

       

I would also like to comment on the club's sponsorship's which though the months i have seen them increase on our newsletter Im sure that a lot of behind the scenes work goes on to attain such sponsorships for which i would like to extended a big thank you to all those involved.

       

I also feel that a comment has to be said with regards to the book launch were I was pleased to  see that committee members from other bird associations were invited. I think that this was a bold and professional step taken by the committee through which hopefully better bonds could be forged  between different associations who share the same passion for birds.

       

Also I would like to pass a small remark with regards to our annual show, i do not in no way mean this as a criticism but something which we possibly could better ourselves  at along the years. When looking at other bid shows namely BBA's and their Gozitan counterpart one can see various posters and flies in key locations such as police stations government clinics etc promoting their show. Although the size of our club cannot be compared to theirs i think its something which the next committee should look into and see if we can better the situation within our club's limits.

Finally I would like to wish everyone at MGBS an excellent year both inside as well as outside the bird room. Also please feel free to contact me if i can help or assist the society in any manner you require.
